Celebrating a Local Giving Milestone with Antonine Village

Recently, MedWish MedWorks celebrated a major milestone by fulfilling our 500th Local Giving order of the year for Antonine Village, a faith-based nonprofit assisted living, memory care, and adult day care community in North Jackson, Ohio.

Since becoming a Local Giving recipient in November 2023, Antonine Village has relied on donated medical supplies and equipment to support approximately 68 assisted living and memory care residents, along with 20-25 adult day care participants each day.

The milestone order weighed 2,388 pounds and included high-demand items, such as adult diapers, nutritional supplements, gloves, and other personal protective equipment. In 2026 alone, Antonine Village has received five orders totaling 8,906 pounds of donated supplies.

Antonine Village visits MedWish MedWorks once or twice each month to acquire supplies. Mike, the organization's regular driver, makes the approximately one-hour trip each way to load a truck with supplies that help support compassionate, high-quality care. As a gesture of appreciation, Sister Dolly Azzi, nursing director, often sends along homemade treats and assorted sweets for the MedWish MedWorks staff to enjoy.

Antonine Village's mission is to provide holistic care that promotes the independence and dignity of every individual in a home-like environment. Many of the donated supplies are used daily to support the health, comfort, and dignity of residents and adult day care participants. From incontinence products and housekeeping supplies to medical supplies and equipment, these donations enhance the safety and quality of care while helping reduce operating expenses. The savings allow Antonine Village to reinvest more resources into resident care, activities, staff support, and community services.

MedWish MedWorks has been an incredible blessing to Antonine Village. Their generosity allows us to provide essential medical, housekeeping, and personal care supplies that directly benefit our residents and adult day care participants every day. The support we receive helps us stretch our resources further and focus on what matters most—providing compassionate, dignified care to those we serve. We are deeply grateful for this partnership and the positive impact it has on our community.
— Sr. Dolly Azzi, RN, DON, Nursing Director
