International Aid With a Big Impact
MedWish Medworks works alongside healthcare facilities and medical missions across the globe to provide international medical aid where it’s needed most. Since our founding, we’ve shipped life-saving supplies to recipients in 115 countries—from individual items to full 40’ cargo containers.
How to Apply For International Aid
All recipients must meet our eligibility criteria and submit an application.
Once your application has been accepted, a member of the MedWish Medworks team will contact you to build a customized request list based on your needs and the item's availability.
Our inventory is constantly changing; we cannot guarantee that requested items are in stock but we can help provide you with more information about their availability.
Please note: MedWish Medworks does NOT carry pharmaceuticals, food, office furniture or clothing.
Delivery Options
-
Hand-carried shipments are best for smaller projects, like medical mission trips or situations that may require a more immediate response. This method of transport can range from a small box to several suitcases and allows individuals or groups to take only what they need and check it with their luggage.
Recipients must make an appointment if picking up supplies at the MedWish Medworks Warehouse. Please call 216-692-1685.
Please note: To receive a hand-carried shipment, you must have a contact at your international destination who can provide a wish list of needed items for humanitarian/charitable health care. MedWish Medworks does not provide coordinating services between travelers and potential recipients.
-
MedWish Medworks has the ability to fulfill wish lists for larger projects, like outfitting clinics or hospitals. Our warehouse staff can pack shipments ranging from a single pallet to a fully-packed, ready-to-ship 40’ shipping container.
Please note: Recipients of MedWish Medworks supplies must coordinate their own shipping and customs arrangements. If you are new to overseas shipping, we may be able to refer you to resources for more information to help with the process.
Eligibility Requirements
Must be a recognized nonprofit organization using supplies for international relief/health care to serve the poor in developing countries.
Must not use donated surplus for sale or as a means for profit.
Must have representation both from a 501(c)(3) U.S.-based nonprofit contact as well as a contact in the destination country.
Must demonstrate ability/commitment to paying MedWish Medworks’ processing and handling fee. (Please review Financial Responsibility section for more information.)
Must be an active participant in organizing shipping and customs.
Must provide timely and detailed feedback once a shipment is received.
Must demonstrate a commitment to serving all people regardless of age, race, gender, sexual orientation or religious beliefs.
Recipients are not charged for the medical equipment and supplies that MedWish Medworks provides. Processing and handling fees still apply based on the scale of the order, not the commercial or intrinsic value of the item(s). Because of the ongoing support of various individuals, corporations, and foundations, we are able to reduce these fees to a portion of the costs.
No payment is due at the time of application. A 50% non-refundable deposit is due prior to packing list assembly with remaining fees due prior to shipment. Shipping costs are in addition to the processing and handling fee.
