What to expect for your volunteer shift:

All visitors must approach our Sanitation Station as they enter the building. Here, you will sanitize your hands, and put on gloves and a mask. We request you bring your own mask, but can provide disposable masks if needed. Once equipped with required PPE, please enter the orientation room directly to your left and approach the sign in table. Please complete the Visitor’s Log. You will be asked to confirm that you are not exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19. There is a “no touch” thermometer available for you. Someone will greet you in this room and assist with checking in for your shift.

DO wear required PPE (mask and gloves) at all times while in the building (available upon entry).

DO complete visitor’s log, confirming that you do not exhibit any signs/symptoms of COVID-19.

DO check in/out for your shift using the kiosk computer, or the Get Connected app (preferred).

DO maintain a distance of 6′ between yourself and others while on site.

When you report to MedWish for a volunteer shift, please be sure to adhere to all posted signage, wear required PPE appropriately, maintain physical distance from others, practice basic cough and sneeze etiquette, and practice good hand hygiene:

*Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze.

*If you don’t have a tissue, cough or sneeze into your upper sleeve, not your hand.

*Discard used tissues in waste basket, and wash your hands afterward.

*Clean your hands often with an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60-95% alcohol or wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Soap and water should be used preferentially if hands are visibly dirty.

*Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.

Please keep in mind that masks must be worn at all times while in the building. Gloves must be worn when handling any supplies. Volunteers will be assigned their own workstation to maintain distance and eliminate the sharing of materials.
