Where in the World: August
It’s been a busy summer at MedWish, and we continue to send shipments of lifesaving medical supplies each week. In August, we’ll be seeing off shipments to the following places:
- Suitcases full of medical supplies will travel with our brigade volunteers to Pisac, Peru
- Our staging bays hold the contents of three 40′ cargo containers to Ghana, Lebanon and El Salvador.
- Next in line for containers are: Tanzania, Haiti and Sierra Leone. Our staff is working with recipients to find the supplies they need and coordinate logistics.
- Hand-carried shipments continue to leave our warehouse many times each week. A shipment of suture will help to treat Afghan refugees in Pakistan; first aid supplies will heal and comfort orphans in the Democratic Republic of the Congo; and personal hygiene supplies will travel to Nigeria.
