Where in the World: August

It’s been a busy summer at MedWish, and we continue to send shipments of lifesaving medical supplies each week. In August, we’ll be seeing off shipments to the following places:

  • Suitcases full of medical supplies will travel with our brigade volunteers to Pisac, Peru
  • Our staging bays hold the contents of three 40′ cargo containers to Ghana, Lebanon and El Salvador.
  • Next in line for containers are: Tanzania, Haiti and Sierra Leone. Our staff is working with recipients to find the supplies they need and coordinate logistics.
  • Hand-carried shipments continue to leave our warehouse many times each week. A shipment of suture will help to treat Afghan refugees in Pakistan; first aid supplies will heal and comfort orphans in the Democratic Republic of the Congo; and personal hygiene supplies will travel to Nigeria.

Are you a health worker who volunteers in a developing country, or a physician in the United States working to start or improve a hospital in your home country? Learn more about how to receive MedWish supplies here, or make a gift to help us continue this important work!

Hello, Can you tell me if you provide medical equipment in Kenya? If so who are the recipients. Thank You. Patricia and Dr. Mark Stillman CCF.
