We’re Hitting the Road – Help us Pack!

Once a year, Medwish gathers a team of dedicated volunteers to do what usually we can only hear about second-hand: Put medical surplus to use saving and improving lives in a developing country.

Our trip this August is especially significant to MedWish because we will be returning to the town of Zaragoza, El Salvador, which was the site of our 2010 medical brigade. this return trip helps us continue to build a relationship with the community and to find more ways to help them improve their health care.

The Medical Brigade always sells out every year, and this year is no exception. Even though you may not be able to come with us, you can still make a big difference in Zaragoza.

Donate Supplies

The estimated 1,500 patients we’ll see on the brigade will each go home with a small hygiene kit. We need new, unopened, non-expired travel-size items to fill these kits:

  • Toothbrushes
  • Toothpaste
  • Mouthwash
  • Hand/body soap
  • Shampoo
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Antibiotic ointment (ex.: Neosporin)
  • Adhesive bandages
  • Cotton balls
  • Alcohol pads/wipes
  • Sandwich size zip-top bags
  • Snack size zip-top bags

Please help us gather these items for the brigade. You can drop off donations from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, until July 10.

Team Up!

Organizing a supplies drive is a great activity for youth groups, staff teams and other organizations to get involved in supporting our medical brigade. If you have questions about what items we need most or how you can best support this important program, please call us at (216) 692 – 1685 or email info@medwish.org.
