Twice a month, as many as 150 people flood our warehouse and 150 pairs of hands help us turn medical “trash” (the usable surplus, at least) into humanitarian treasures for hospitals and clinics in the developing world. Each one of these volunteers has a key part to play in making this amazing work possible, and a unique perspective to share as well.
Sharing is a big part of what we do, and we want to invite all our volunteers to get in on this sharing. Here’s how:
- Check in on Foursquare when you arrive. (Hint: You’ll unlock a Newbie special on your first check-in.)
- Tweet your experience and be sure to tag us (@medwish) and use the hashtag #DoGoodCLE
- Find us on Facebook and post your photos to our wall. Tag your group if you’re volunteering with your club, team, class, etc.
- Follow us on Instagram (@medwishintl) and tag your photos there. Use the hashtag #DoGoodCLE
It’s an easy way to help spread the word about the great work you’re doing. If you are feeling really adventurous, here’s another way you can help us via social media: Post a photo of yourself wearing your MedWish t-shirt on Twitter using the hashtag #NDLookingHot – this will add you to the list of No Doubt fans trying to get their photos on the band’s next music video, and might just help MedWish show up there, too!
P.S. Are you a Cleveland blogger? Join us on November 3 for a Blogger Sort volunteer event. Learn more and RSVP on Facebook.
